Terms of Service, Entry Requirements, Security, Code of Conduct, Privacy Policy, and Event Rules
Splash Days Master Event Policy & Terms of Service
Welcome to Splash Days! To ensure a safe, enjoyable, and seamless experience for all our guests, please review our event policies below.
SECTION 1: Eligibility, Ticketing, and General Terms

Age Requirement: All Splash Days events are strictly for guests 21 and older. Every attendee must present a valid, government-issued photo ID showing their date of birth at entry.

Ticket Sales and Refund Policy: All ticket purchases are final and non-refundable. If an event is postponed or relocated due to weather, safety, or other circumstances, no refunds will be issued. However, tickets may be transferred to another individual. Splash Days may relocate or reschedule the event at its discretion.

Hotel Guest Policy: Hotel guests must purchase a valid Splash Days event ticket to access event-controlled areas, including the pools, during event hours.

Management Rights: For the safety and enjoyment of our community, Splash Days reserves the right to refuse entry to any individual, remove any attendee from an event, confiscate prohibited items, and enforce policies for safety and compliance. These decisions may be made without a refund.
SECTION 2: Entry, Security Screening, and Search Procedures
For the safety of all attendees, everyone is subject to a security screening before entering any event venue.

Metal detector screening at certain venues

Inspection of all bags, purses, and carried items

Failure to comply with security screening will result in denial of entry.

Please note that Splash Days does not provide item storage or coat checks unless explicitly stated in the event description. Staff cannot hold or store items for attendees, regardless of whether the items are allowed inside.
SECTION 3: Identification Requirements
Valid Forms of Identification
Accepted physical identification must be government-issued and include both a photo and your date of birth:

Invalid Forms of Identification
The following forms of ID are NOT accepted:

Copies or photos of valid forms of ID

Identification not issued by a government authority
SECTION 4: Bag Policy and Allowed Items
Bag policies vary by event type:

Night Events: Allowed items include one single-compartment fanny pack per person (maximum size: 10 inches by 5 inches).

Pool Parties: Allowed items include one large single-compartment bag per person. Please do not bring multi-pocket backpacks.

Lake Day: Bag restrictions are generally more relaxed, subject to park rules (https://parks.traviscountytx.gov/parks/hippie-hollow). Attendees should review park-specific restrictions. Glass containers are strictly prohibited at Lake Day.
Allowed Personal Items
The following items are permitted unless otherwise restricted:

Electronics and personal devices: Mobile phones, portable chargers, external batteries, GoPro cameras, small digital cameras, disposable cameras, point-and-shoot cameras, selfie sticks.

Personal care items (factory sealed unless noted): Lipstick, lip gloss, lip liner, chapstick, eye drops, sunscreen (travel size, non-aerosol), deodorant (travel size, non-aerosol), hand sanitizer (up to 2 oz), wet wipes (factory sealed), dry makeup.

Clothing and protective gear: Hats, sunglasses, goggles, ponchos, earplugs, costumes, illuminated clothing or jewelry.

Performance and glow items: Glow sticks, LED gloves, LED microlights, flow wands, orbs, pixel whips, flowlights, poi.

Other permitted items: Sealed gum, cigarettes, vape pens and cartridges, refillable vape devices, lighters.
SECTION 5: Prohibited Items
The following items are strictly prohibited at all venues unless specifically allowed for Lake Day. Splash Days reserves the right to prohibit any item deemed unsafe.

Illegal, Unsafe, or Controlled Items: Illegal substances, drug paraphernalia, trimix, weapons of any kind, pocket knives, pepper spray, fireworks, explosives, flammable products, projectiles, laser pointers.

Food and Beverage Restrictions: Outside food or beverages (except Lake Day), glass containers (prohibited everywhere, including Lake Day), coolers, cans, cups, unsealed consumables.

Medical and Chemical Restrictions: Unsealed over-the-counter medications, unsealed vitamins, Vicks inhalers, vapor inhalers, soap, shampoo, conditioner, detergents.

Equipment and Gear Restrictions: Professional photography equipment, detachable camera lenses, tripods, monopods, professional video equipment, professional audio recording equipment, drones or unmanned aerial vehicles.

Bags and Storage Restrictions: Multi-pocket backpacks, hydration packs with opaque or non-removable bladders.
-
Mobility and Transport Devices: Bicycles, scooters, skateboards, hoverboards, ATVs, go-carts.
-
Other Prohibited Items: Animals (except service animals), massagers, gas masks, hula hoops, inflated toys, balls, balloons, sports equipment, stuffed animals, dolls, stickers, flyers, promotional materials, markers, pens, spray paint, spiked jewelry.

Structures and Furniture (except Lake Day): Tents, large umbrellas, hammocks, chairs.
SECTION 6: Food and Beverage Policy

Outside food and beverages are prohibited at all Splash Days events, except for Lake Day.

Glass containers are prohibited everywhere, including Lake Day.

Most events provide bars that accept cash and cards.
SECTION 7: Photography, Video Recording, and Media Release
We love capturing the energy and community of Splash Days. By entering any Splash Days event, you acknowledge and agree that:

Photography, video, and audio recording may occur.

Your likeness, image, voice, and appearance may be recorded.
You grant Splash Days unrestricted, perpetual rights to use recorded media for marketing, advertising, promotion, social media, website content, news, and publicity. You also waive any right to inspect recordings, approve recordings, receive compensation, or make claims related to privacy, publicity, or copyright.
If you do not consent to being recorded, please do not enter the event.
SECTION 8: Code of Conduct and Expected Behavior
Splash Days is committed to providing a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment. All attendees are expected to:

Treat others with respect.

Exercise consideration in speech and actions.

Participate authentically and respectfully.

Ask for consent before touching others.
-
Respect personal boundaries.
-
Avoid assumptions about gender or identity.

Use respectful language.
-
Cooperate with staff and security.
-
Report unsafe situations to staff.
SECTION 9: Harassment and Prohibited Conduct
Splash Days has a strict policy against harassment. Unacceptable behavior is prohibited and includes:

Intimidation, discrimination, harassment, or abuse.

Intentional misgendering, derogatory speech, offensive, or prejudicial comments.

Trolling or intentional disruption.
-
Stalking or following.
-
Non-consensual photography or non-consensual physical contact.

Unwanted sexual attention.
-
Microaggressions.
This policy applies to behavior at events, online, and during all event-related communications.
SECTION 10: Enforcement and Consequences
Anyone asked to stop unacceptable behavior must comply immediately. Splash Days may take action including a verbal warning, removal from the event, a temporary ban, or a permanent ban. Removals or bans will not include refunds.
SECTION 11: Reporting Safety Issues
If you experience or witness harassment, unsafe behavior, or policy violations, please report it immediately to Splash Days staff. Staff will address your concerns and take appropriate action.
SECTION 12: Privacy Policy
We respect your privacy and are committed to being transparent about how we handle your data.

Information We Collect: We collect information including your name, email address, phone number, address, age, demographic information, travel preferences, and website usage data.

How We Use It: This information is used to provide event services, process transactions, provide customer support, communicate updates, send promotions, and improve our services.

Who We Share It With: Information may be shared with trusted third-party vendors for payment processing, marketing, analytics, and customer service. Information may also be shared when required by law.

Data Sharing with Strategic Partners: From time to time, we may partner with third parties to offer joint services, co-branded promotions, or integrated features. If you choose to engage with these specific services, we may share your personal information (including your email address and phone number) with those Partners so they can provide the service, fulfill your request, or communicate with you about the joint offering and other events of interest.
SECTION 13: Email and SMS Communications

Transactional Communications: By providing your contact information, you consent to receiving administrative communications, event updates, and alerts related to your purchase or attendance. Administrative messages related to purchases or safety may still be sent even if you opt out of marketing.

Marketing Communications & SMS: If you explicitly opt-in to receive marketing communications from Splash Days and our trusted Partners, we will use your email and phone number to send you promotions, special offers, and event news.

SMS Terms: By opting into SMS marketing, you agree to the following terms:

Consent is not required: Your consent to receive promotional texts is not a condition of purchasing any goods or services from Splash Days.

Message Rates and Frequency: Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency varies.

Opting Out: You may unsubscribe from marketing messages at any time. To opt-out of SMS marketing, reply STOP, QUIT, END, CANCEL, or UNSUBSCRIBE to any message you receive.

Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information
Splash Days does not sell your personal information for monetary compensation. All other privacy requests (access, deletion, or disclosure) may also be submitted to info@splashdays.org. Splash Days does not discriminate based on privacy requests. You will not be denied goods or services, charged different prices, or provided a different level of quality for exercising your privacy rights.
